Direct Index to Walton County Deeds. This is a cumberson process but worth it when completed.  Click on the book icon under "individual".   On the next page, click on the dropdown list box in the upper left to select the name for which you are searching. Click the "+" sign in the upper right to continue to the next page in the sequence of names.   Make a note of the book and page nbr in which you are interested.  Open a new window and go back to County Clerk's website.  Place the mouse over "Public Records" and click on "Official Records" in the pop-up menu.   Read and accept the disclaimer to go to the search page.  In the upper left "Search by" area, select the "Book page" radio button and a new search page will appear.  Do not enter search data on this page, but click on the blue link that says " Click here to search older Direct/Reverse index." This will bring up a page where you can enter the book and page nbr you saved earlier.  The search will bring up the actual deed in a PDF-type page viewer.   Click on the pages icon on the upper left above the binoculars icon to start the viewer.

Bureau of Land Management

Graphical Display of the Federal Township and Range System  Gives information on Range, Township and Sections.

Topozone.com is great for finding cemeteries and churches.  It has all the jeep trails and such, but you do need to use the map wisely.  First you ask for the site you want, then when the map shows up, click on the first scale that you find 1/25.00 and that will take you to a larger view of the center of the map you just brought up.  It will have the site in the size font that you can read while the first one will not.
