Gila "Rae" Carroll, age 76, of St Petersburg, Florida (formerly of Bonifay) died Saturday, Jan 2, 1999 at Palms of Pasadena Hospital, South Pasadena, Florida.  She was born in Bonifay and moved to St Petersburg in 1939.  She was former owner and operator of Lockhert's Supermarket in St Petersburg.  She was a member of Carmel Assembly of God Church in Bonifay and of the American Businesswomen Association in St Petersburg.

	Funeral services were Jan 6 at Memorial Park Funeral Home, directed by Blount Curry and Roel Funeral Homes and Cemeteries.

	In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Carmel Assembly of God Church in Bonifay, or the American Heart and Lung Association.

	Survivors include her son: Kenton Carroll of St Petersburg, Florida; daughters: Deborah Hancock of St Petersburg and Charlene Nobel of Lake Worth, Florida; five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
