Published in HOLMES COUNTY ADVERTISER Bonifay, Florida Saturday, September 24, 1910 (Transcribed by Mona Spears) A Sad Accident Monday night little Miss Arna, the five-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Boswell, met a sad and peculiar death at the home of her parents, a mile north of town. Mr. Boswell's shot gun fell from the rack on the wall and was discharged by the hammer striking a table or some object, the entire load entering the abdomen and arm of the little girl, who was playing on the bed at the time, producing almost instant death. A physician was summoned but arrived too late to render any help to the unfortunate and innocent little victim. The interment was made at Mt. Olive cemetery Tuesday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Boswell have the sympathy of the community in this their hour of sore bereavement.
