Street Scene (1940s) -- This is Hwy 79 in the middle of town.  Many of these buildings are still standing today.

Street Scene (1940s) -- This is Hwy 79 in the middle of town.  Many of these buildings are still standing today.  Notice the barber pole?  When was the last time you saw one of these?  This is the opposite side of the street from the picture above.

Street Scene (1940s) -- This is at the intersection of US Hwy 90 and FL Hwy 79.  The Gulf Gas Station building is still standing; however, it's not used a service station anymore.  The Texaco station has been replaced completely; and the Pure (Standard Oil) Station building is still standing.
