Mrs Pauline E Whitaker, age 74, of Geneva, Alabama, died Tuesday, Jan 19, 1999 in her residence following an extended illness.  She was born Aug 8, 1924 in Esto, Florida.  She was the daughter of the late Jack and Georgia Payne Ellis.  She was a member of the Ledon Baptist Church and a homemaker.

	Funeral services were Jan 21 at the Chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva with the rev Earl Wise officiating.  Burial followed in the Geneva City Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing.

	She was preceded in death by her brothers: R V Ellis and Cliff Ellis and sister: Delia Curry.

Survivors include her husband: Paul C Whitaker of Geneva, Alabama; daughters and son-in-law Brenda and Moe Pujol of Geneva, Alabama, Mary Ann Whitaker of Elba, Alabama; sisters: K C Chancey of Geneva, Alabama and Inez Haney of Gainesville, Florida; and granddaughter: Courtney Pujol of Geneva, Alabama.
