Mack Milton Harris
This is Gail Harris...again. Remember, I am the granddaughter of Thomas Jefferson Harris. He is brother (half) of John William Troop Harris.
I am still trying to track down more distant HARRIS relatives of ours. I did the DNA test, but results are limited because of the female ancestry limitations.
I am writing to you in hopes that you will consent to doing the DNA test for genealogy only. I will pay for the kit and bring it to you. All you do is spit.
I am also trying to find the son of John Uley Harris - John Milton Harris. Would also like for him to do the DNA test. I would pay for that one as well.
There are more HARRIS male family members I would like to find. And think maybe you know some and could put me in touch with them. One family is in the Polk County area.
Their patriarch was William Harris from Colleton Co, SC, born around 1805. He is buried in Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery, Polk County.
Another HARRIS family settled in Pine Castle, FL. Their patriarch was another William Harris from Colleton Co, SC, born around 1825. He is buried in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Orange County.
I am enclosing some info on their families posted on their grave site locations (Find-A-Grave). I would very much like to find a male descendant from both of these patriarchs who would consent to the DNA testing. I would pay the cost for all.
So, if you know how to track down any of these men, please call them for me. I will be calling you in the near future to talk about all of this.
