The grim reaper visited our
community Saturday, Nov. 29, calling away a very dear friend and
neighbor, Mrs. J. R. Montgomery. A circle
of large friends are grieved by her going and feel the deepest sympathy
for the bereaved ones who are left to mourn her passing.
Mrs. Montgomery was a staunch
christian, having been a member of the Methodist church here for years.
She was always found at her post, attending church and Sunday school, lending
her aid at all times in the work of the church. She was a devoted wife
and mother, and a true friend. She is survived by her husband, J. R. Montgomery,
five sons and a daughter. The funeral was held at the homenear Brownville
on Sunday at 8 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Reed. Interment in Joshua Creek
Cemetery. |
