LAKELAND - Arthur M.Dees,Jr. age 78, of Lakeland passed away Monday, September 27, 2010 at his home after a battle with leukemia.
  Mr. Dees was born in Arcadia, Florida to his late parents, Arthur and Ruby Dees. Arthur served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, he retired and settled with his family in Lakeland in 1969. He then took employment with Publix for 20 yrs. as a Fleet Safety Inspector in 1998.
  Arthur loved the outdoors and was always planning his next hunting or camping trip. He was also active in Masonic Lodge #338 of Kathleen, Fl. and was a member of the Camp Misery Hunting Club.
  Arthur, besides his parents was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Dees and sister Polly McIntyre.
  Arthur is survived by: His wife; 2 brothers: a sister; 2 daughters; 2 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
  Lanier Funeral Home handled the arrangements and funeral services at Kathleen Baptist.  Interment at Socrum Cemetery.
