is solely produced on a volunteer basis. You retain the rights to any

How can
I help...
We accept almost anything
you have to
offer as
long as it will help other researchers!
Such as photos,
biographies (in your
own
words), old news paper articles or announcements, scanned vital
records,
public records ect. If you don't see a catagory that you feel fits with
what you have to offer, no problem.... We'll create one! All
information
can be sent by email or regular mail. Please let us know if you have
any
problems and we will work it out together. And of course, if you find a
mistake any where on this web site please take the time to let us
know! Peggy

About
us...
Phyllis Mathis Sunman
Borden (my
mom) and Janine Sunman Rickner (her
favorite...tee
hee) where both born and raised in Fort Myers, Lee Co,
Florida.
We started researching our family tree together about 6 years ago.
We've
traced the Mathis and Williams families from Virginia migrating through
North Carolina, Georgia and settling in Florida. We have strong ties in
Desoto County with the first family settlement in the Brownville area
circa
1850. We also have direct linages with the McClenithan and Smith
families
settling in Desoto County in the 1870s. We took over the Desoto Co
FLGenWeb
Project in April 1998 and since then our hobby has expanded into
something
we are both very proud of. With the donations and help from others,
along
with own time and efforts, this web site has become every visitors
project
and we thank you for helping us make it grow to a project we can all be
proud of!

Note- Phyllis and Janine were the best county coordinators,
I have left this page in tact for the most part to Honor the
work done by this duet-It was the greatest effort yet of a
county coordinator.
Only hope to follow in the footsteps of
my cousins
Thank you!
