Mr. H.E.Daniels, 76 -Former Polk Co. Sheriff- (Lakeland Ledger- Wed. July 23,2003 ) Winter Haven- Mr. H.E."Dan"Daniels died Thursday( July 17,2003 ) at home, he was 76. Born in Winter Haven on March 4, 1927,he was a lifelong resident. He was a retired Army Colonel of 30 yrs. ,having served in WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He recieved many decorations. Mr. Daniels was a former Polk Co. Sheriff and Superintendent of Corrections in Fl. Mr. Daniels is survived by his wife; 2 sons; 1 brother; 3 sisters,Alma Louise, Floria Elizabeth and Shirley Ann, 3 grandchildren. Crisp-Coon Funeral Homes,Inc. Winter Haven.
