L. Pearce, died at Brewster; Ledger, Oct.20, 1943 BREWSTER - Oct. 20 - special- George L. Pearce, member of a pioneer Polk County family, died last night at his home in Brewster. He was 59 years old. George is survived by his widow, Mrs. Helia P. Pearce; 6 daughters; Mrs. Sam Gray of Lake Wales; Mrs. L. T. Payne of Tampa; Mrs. Lamar Johnson of Bartow; Miss Clarice Pearce of the Navy, and Miss Harriett Pearce of Tampa. One son, Borden L. Pearce with the Navy; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph C. Pearce of Brewster; 4 sisters, Mrs. Harris Lancaster and Mrs. David Lancaster both of Bartow, Mrs. Jesse Durrance of Brighton and Mrs. G. H. Jameson of Bradley Junction, and a brother, Ben Pearce of Bradley Junction. Time and place of services will be announced after word has been recieved from the son and daughter in the Navy.
