John Squire, of 206 W.Ninth Street, died Sunday, at Lakeland General Hospital.  John was a native of Albany, Georgia, he came to Lakeland in 1918. John was a barber in the Morehead Community for 4 years. His barber shop in Lakeland was located at 912 N.Fl. Ave. from 1922 to 1972 when his health failed.
  During this time he guided many young barbers on their internship. He was a member of Mt.Pleasant A.M.E. Church where he served as a steward and a leader of Class No. 8 for many years.
  Survivors include his wife, Katie Lou; 2 sons, Julius and Maurice; 1 daughter, Idelle, and 1 grandson.
