VEREEN CEMETERY
Directions: From US 19, in Hudson, drive east on Hudson Ave. for approximately 4 miles.
The cemetery is on the right (south side) and enclosed behind a sturdy fence. There is
room to park your vehicle outside the fence but, if desired, you may drive onto
the grounds. Please close and secure the gate upon leaving.
this little cemetery is fairly well maintained.

Frierson Burials
On
March 7, 1991 visited Vereen Cemetery,
located off Route 10 South on Hudson Avenue,
just east of HicksRoad, on the south side, at the suggestion
of
Mrs. Lucille Mountain of Brooksville, Florida.
The
Vereen Cemetery was established in 1889,
JOSEPH D VEREEN 1819-1896 is buried here.
He served in South Carolina Post Guard of the Confederacy.
His wife, SUSAN SMITH VEREEN 1830-1886 is buried beside
him.
Toward the back of the cemetery are the Frierson burials, which are listed below
