Bailey's Baillie's Bluff
P.K.Baillie, an early settler surveyed this area
shortly after the Civil War. The Bluff is a high
point in the Coastal section, The cove below
was a safe anchorage for sponge fisherman
from Cuba, Key West and the Bahamas who
cleaned their sponges in crawls ( KRAALS)
along the shoreline from about 1870 until 1890
