The Peter Karr Baillie family from Georgia just after the Civil War and extablished a trading post at Bailey's Bluff and later moved inland.The Barga family, Boyd family and Brown family, John and Mary also settled in the area. John G. "Gip" Brown who once owned Green Key and his wife Cora Stevenson Brown. Other Families were Clark family, Digman family, Edenfields family Frierson and the Gaines family. Benjamin H. Gaines served as Delegate for the Anclote Baptist Church and was a Trustee for the School Board. Basil Gaines served as Sheriff for Pasco County.

The Gause family, Harper family, Hill family and the Milbauer Family were in the area at this time. Richard Milbauer donated the cemetery property to the county. Other Families were Ransom and Russ of Elfers. John and Mary Sawyer, early settlers of the area are known to be interred at West Elfers Cemetery, but the location of their graves are unknown. The Sheffields came to the area from Georgia in the 1860s, other families were Smith, Stephens and Stevenson.

Other early settlers were Wiggins and Williams The James Whidden family who settled the Hidden Lakes area in the 1860's. Their sons Daniel and Crockett were killed during the "fued" the occuted in the late 1800's. Jacob Worley's family settled the Worley Lake and Lake Worrell Areas in the 1860's
