Gwynne Institute School, Fort Myers

Gwynne Institute Primary School First Grade Class 1934

Gwynne Institute School building still stands on Second Street in
Fort Myers.  The First Grade Teacher was Miss P. Pearl Patch.  At the
end of the school year, the children were taken across the river to a
park in North Fort Myers for a picnic.  This is June 8, 1934.  The
mothers supplied the food and drinks, etc. A few names are:  3rd from
left standing is Henley Bowden Clark. Next to him is Hazel Clarkson.
At the far end of that row is Ann Winston McGinn.  The charming
brunette seated 3rd from right is Billie Washburn. Can you help identify more of them?
